When we arrived at the Appalachian Great Pyrenees rescue, we first saw the adult dogs in their runs. This is Khan’s mother.

In addition to Khan, there were other puppies there. An entire litter of 8 week old puppies.

When we got home, we found that he was still unable to deal with stairs. They’re large, but still puppies. He doesn’t look terribly happy about being carried.

It’s important for a puppy to have toys they can chew on. Otherwise they will choose something on their own. Here’s Khan with his stuffed gorilla – it really needs a thought bubble from the gorilla.

He also has a nylabone – and really likes the chicken flavor.

It only took a minute for him to realize that the stuffed gorilla was his. At which point, he attacked it with relish. First the banana…

Then the gorilla iteslf.

He’s pulled the stuffing out several times. The kids keep putting it back in for him.
It was quite a busy day, and he’s still a little guy. He gets tires quickly, and will often drop mid-romp.

We did manage to get a ‘portrait’ picture of him. He’s a really good looking dog.
